Known as the "Martyr of Charity," Fr. Kolbe proved that there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for a friend. He stepped forward in Auschwitz to save a husband and father, showing that even in hellish conditions, love conquers all.

St. Maximilian believed the fastest, safest, and most effective way to become a saint was through Mary. He founded the Militia Immaculata to bring souls to Christ, relying completely on the Blessed Mother's intercession in every endeavor.

He was a pioneer in using modern media—magazines, radio, and printing presses—to spread the Gospel. He built entire "Cities of the Immaculata" in Poland and Japan because he deeply desired to win the whole world for God.

St. Maximilian fully surrendered his plans to God's will. Even in the face of abject poverty, the outbreak of war, and his eventual imprisonment, he trusted completely that the Immaculata was guiding his path for the greater glory of God.

Despite suffering from severe tuberculosis for most of his adult life and facing overwhelming obstacles in his missionary work, he never gave up. He built monasteries and printed millions of magazines through sheer perseverance and grace.
